Children's Empowerment Initiatives & Summer Camps provides activities that are designed to promote literacy, painting, arts and crafts, outdoor play, spring break day camps and much more!

English Additional Language Program (EALP)

A beginner–intermediate daytime English class with personalized tutoring to build everyday communication skills and confidence for daily life, school, and work.

Financial Literacy/Money Management Training

Financial Literacy/Money Management Training covers money choices (needs vs. wants), asset building and goal setting, community economic development, budgeting, financial services, credit, and debt.

Food Bank

Through our ongoing partnership with Winnipeg Harvest, our volunteers are dedicated to upholding the fundamental human right to food security within our community.

Newcomer Women Computer Literacy Workshops

Mondays and Fridays 10 am – 12 pm: TEEC offers workshops to improve digital skills, focusing on keyboarding, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. These skills are crucial for gaining employment and navigating modern workplaces.

Newcomer Women Employment Skills Development and Job Readiness Training Programs

The goal is for 80% of participants to secure meaningful employment in sectors requiring minimal education but a basic reading and writing level.

Sewing and Tailoring Program

Sewing and tailoring programs training continue to bring women together and build unique friendships and strong networks of support among the women.

Women’s Resource Support Hub

This program offers social support, healing activities, and a community of peers to help ease the integration process.

Youth Empowerment Initiatives and Summer Camps

Youth Empowerment Initiatives and Summer Camps support ages 13–17 through community volunteering, life skills workshops, programs like the City of Winnipeg Fire Fighters and Paramedics’ “Skill Camp,” and much more!
