Children's Empowerment Initiatives & Summer Camps provides activities that are designed to promote literacy, painting, arts and crafts, outdoor play, spring break day camps and much more!
For Ages 6 - 12
Readers Club: Tuesday & Thursday 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm
Activities are designed to promote literacy, particularly for children who may struggle with reading and writing. In partnership with the Millennium Library, children and volunteers gather in a circle to read various books, many of which are Indigenous literature and stories.
Diversity Day Camps: Tuesday – Friday in the summer, from 10 am to 3:30 pm
Offering enriching activities such as painting, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and language development through nursery rhymes and group interactions. The program also collaborates with Art City, the City of Winnipeg, U of M’s STEM, and Sport Manitoba’s Fit Kids Healthy Kids for exciting arts and crafts, science and technology, engineering and physical activities.
Spring Break Day Camps: 10:00 am – 4:30 pm
A full-day adventure in science, technology, engineering, and math, a day at the zoo and the Manitoba Museum, plus many recreational activities in a community. Children enjoy spring break at TEEC, a break that mothers deserve.
At the Excel Empowerment Centre, we firmly believe in the importance of providing a safe and inclusive space for every individual to express themselves, heal, and access valuable resources. Volunteer or donate today and be a part of this life-changing journey. Together, we can empower our community to rise, grow, and succeed.
